The Aedes aegypti mosquito is considered for transmitting the Zika virus


Looking at the seriousness, The U.S. government scientists and an Indian biotechnology firm had already started  developing a vaccine. Now it has turned so worse that WHO has, for the first time advised pregnant women to stay back and  consider delaying travel to Zika-infected areas.It has been suspected that there might be some links between the Zika virus and two neurological disorders, microcephaly in babies and Guillain-Barre syndrome. A sharp increase in birth defects in Brazil has triggered a global health emergency over the virus. The virus has recently become an international health issue with suspected links to microcephaly. It is also suspected as to trigger Guillain—Barre syndrome, an autoimmune disease, in individuals with a propensity for the disease. According to Daniel Brooks, a biologist at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, “Whenever the planet has faced a major climate change event, man-made or not, species have moved around and their pathogens have come into contact with species with no resistance.”
