SSC CGL Recruitment: Tier 1 exam tips
- Questions that take a lot of time WILL NEED TO BE SKIPPED
- Special emphasis will need to be put on Speed Maths and memorising formulae, tables, shortcuts etc. so that time can be saved during the exam.
- Special emphasis will need to be put on efficient guessing.
- The possibility of marking a question for review and coming back to it later is OVER. Students are advised to solve each question in one go and if it is not possible, to move on and not worry about partial attempts.
- This calls for the students to be intimate with the complete syllabus of the exam and for them to know their strengths and weaknesses intimately. A student should not be confused on the exam about which question to attempt and which question to skip. Take a look at last year’s cutoffs to see what your aim needs to be
- Students should realise that it will not be possible to attempt all questions in the given time. Based on their performance on Mock Tests prior to the exam, students should try and attempt ONLY that number of questions that they can reliably solve and not worry about having a high number of attempts.
