Scientists have discovered a way to accurately predict whether a child has autism spectrum disorder by analysing a blood sample, an advance that opens the door to earlier diagnosis and potential future development of therapeutics. Drinking a cup of tea daily can reduce the risk of dementia, especially in those who are genetically predisposed to the debilitating disease. The study found that regular consumption of tea lowers the risk of cognitive decline in the elderly by 50%, while those genetically at risk of Alzheimers disease may experience a reduction in cognitive impairment by up to 86%.
