1. Odisha govt and Facebook launches ‘She Means Business’ programme to train women entrepreneurs
‘She Means Business’ programme was launched for women entrepreneurs in Odisha. This program was launched by MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) department of Odisha government in association with Facebook. 25, 000 women entrepreneurs and Self-Help Group (SHG) members will be given training on digital marketing skills within next one year as a part of this scheme.
2. Cyber Coordination Centre made operational: IT Ministry
The first phase of National Cyber Coordination Centre has been made operational. It was set up to scan the country’s web traffic in order to detect cyber security threats.
NCCC detects real-time cyber threat and alert various organisations as well as ISPs so that they can take timely action.
The government has also made operational botnet and malware cleaning centre that will detect malicious software in devices of citizens and clean them.
NCCC is a multi-stakeholder body. It will be implemented by Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) at Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The Centre derives necessary powers as per provisions of section 69B of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Rules notified there under.
3. Government of India launched “Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana (AGEY)”
The Government of India will launch a new sub-scheme named “Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana (AGEY)”. This will be a part of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). The Self Help Groups under DAY-NRLM will operate road transport service in backward areas. This will help to provide safe, affordable and community monitored rural transport services to connect remote villages with key services and amenities. AGEY will be initially implemented in 250 Blocks in the country on pilot basis.
