1. No more vehicle insurance without pollution certificate
The Supreme Court has ruled that vehicles without valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates would not be eligible for the annual insurance.
This was recommended by the Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) in its report on assessment of the Pollution Under Control programme in Delhi and the National Capital Region. This report was submitted in the Supreme Court in April this year.
2. Nitish Kumar launches mobile therapy van-“Buniyadi Sanjivani Sewa”
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched “Buniyadi Sanjivani Sewa”. These are mobile therapy vans that would provide basic medical assistance to elderly people, widows and other section who requires social security.
The vans are equipped with basic medical apparatus and accompanied by technical team would provide basic medical care to the people.
The “Buniyadi Sanjivani Sewa is a result of joint initiative of World Bank and the Social Welfare department of Bihar government.
