The IBPS SO IT Officer Exam just got done on 14th Feb 2016. Read below our for our Exam Analysis to know how you did and prepare for future exams.

IBPS SO Total Expected Cut-Offs:

The total expected Cut-off for IBPS Specialist IT Officer is expected to be between 120-125 for General category.

 

The paper pattern was not very different from Mock Speed Tests and Sample Papers generated by Studycopter’s Faculty. Most of Studycopter’s students were comfortable on the exam and didn’t see any unplanned surprises

Subject wise cutoffs are (out of 50 marks for each section):

English 12
Professional Knowledge 14
Reasoning 13
Quantitative Aptitude 8

IBPS SO IT Officer Exam Analysis: Reasoning

The Reasoning section’s difficulty level was easy to moderate.

30-35 questions should have been attempted.  Topics-wise breakdown is denoted below:

  • Syllogism – 5.
  • Coding-Decoding – 5
  • Puzzle – 22
  • Inequalities – 5
  • Input-Output – 5
  • Data Sufficiency – 3
  • Miscellaneous – 5

IBPS SO IT Officer Exam Analysis: Quantitative Aptitude/ Mathematics

The Quant section’s difficulty level was moderate.

29-31 questions should have been attempted.  Topics-wise breakdown is denoted below:

  • Number Series – 6
  • Data Interpretation (DI) – 17
  • Quadratic Equations – 6
  • Approximation – 5
  • Data sufficiency – 5
  • Arithmetic (Profit Loss, Time & work, Percentage, Age, etc.) – 11

IBPS SO IT Officer Exam Analysis: English/ Verbal Ability

The Verbal section’s difficulty level was easy – moderate.

33-35 questions should have been attempted.  Topics-wise breakdown is denoted below:

  • Reading Comprehension – 10
  • Parajumbles – 5
  • Cloze Test – 10
  • Spotting Errors – 10
  • Sentence Correction/ Improvement – 10
  • Fill in the blanks – 5

IBPS SO IT Officer Exam Analysis: Professional Knowledge (Computer Knowledge) 

The Computers section’s difficulty level was easy – moderate.

30-40 questions should have been attempted.  Questions were asked from Operating System, Computer Networks, and Security, Java, DBMS, Linux,  etc.
