# IBPS Result – IBPS PO Resut – IBPS So Result- IBPS Clerk Result

#### This article provides a summary of the IBPS results 2016 and the cutoffs for each category for PO, SO, and Clerk Posts (IBPS CWE V). It also talks about the next steps for candidates

Lakhs of aspirants apply for the IBPS examinations every year but only a handful make it. What separates a successful candidate from an unsuccessful one, is the declared cut off score.  You need not worry about the maximum marks but the minimum marks for each category.

If you aim at clearing the IBPS examinations, it is important to be familiar with the kind of cut offs that prevail.  The following IBPS results 2016 summary tables provide you with an overview of last year’s cut offs along with the number of available candidates. Do note that the cutoffs have changed from last year’s cutoffs and this gives you an idea of the level of competition for each seat.

#### What happens next? Details on Provisional Allotment Process

1. After declaration of results, IBPS will shortlist applicants and then appoint them in any of the Participating Banks based on both Written Exam and Interview (not for clerks – only written exam will be considered as there was no interview) based on the overall cutoff. The allocation of banks is done on the basis of your marks and preferences filled at the time of submitting the application.
2. IBPS will then inform you about the bank that you have been allotted through an email at your registered email id.
3. IBPS will then send you the joining letter to you and once this is done, individual banks will take over – IBPS’s work is now done.
4. Note: If two applicants have acquired the same score, then their ranking is chosen according to date of birth (the candidate with a greater age will be preferred over a junior employee)Bonus Link: Free IBPS Clerk Exam Study material

#### What happens after provisional allotment process?

1. After the provisional process, individual banks will send appointment letters/ offer letters  to the selected candidates. These letters would contain all joining instructions and next steps of action.
2. As per individual bank’s requirements and procedures, you will then be called in for officially joining the bak! This would be the culmination of the long process of recruiting. This period varies from bank to bank and can happen anytime from one month to six months after declaration of results.

#### IBPS Training Process after Joining

Once you have officialy joined the bank, the bank would schoose to send you for centralised traimning or train you at a bank branch. This varies from bank to bank. IOf you are sent for centralised training, this process will be for a period of 15-20 days at a location chosen by the bank.

If you are picked for on-the-job training, you will be expected to learn while performing
